Anyone else have this? What are your impressions?
I was going to wait out for the FS Labs version, but have been utterly desperate for a great Airbus simulation for years. I have them all from Airsimmer to Wilco, even the Black Box Airbus, but I just could not resist after seeing some decent feedback.
My opinion of it is that its absolutely ground breaking, by a long, long way the best Airbus ever made in FS history up to now. I just completed a couple of flights and it performs flawlessly. Its a joy to hand fly, the FBW is magnificent, Managed mode works perfectly (Unlike the Wilco with its 6000fpm descents), speed management is right on the dot, models are amazing, texturing just beautiful and FPS are silky smooth.
Its almost too good to be true, I simply can't believe that Aerosoft have actually pulled this off.
I have the Mike Ray Airbus manual and have done a fair amount of homework on flying the Airbus series, so I'd like to think I am at least somewhat knowledgeable on the Airbus but I wanted to see if others feel the same way. I just can't believe how much I enjoyed flying it and how faithfully it seemed to perform. Would love to hear others thoughts on it.
Just a few niggles I have discovered.
Some STARs display strangely. I flew the ILS 25 into Belfast Aldergrove and it seemed to have a bit of trouble with the BEL16 transition (16DME point to the SE of the BEL VOR leading to a 12.9 DME arc to final) taking me 2000 miles away from Belfast ! Once I deleted the rougue Intercept it cleared up, but I did lose my "hockey sticks".
Also she seems a little tough to rotate. I set the trim according to the displayed value in the MCDU but it takes a fair bit of yanking to get off the runway. I almost went straight off the end of 09 at Bristol on departure.
I have also found that Flex Temps seem way too generous. The MCDU gave me a flex of 63, I changed it down to 50 myself and I still had to push it up to TOGA thrust after I saw that I was not accellerating anywhere near well enough on the roll.
Other than that I am just blown away by it. Its outrageously good in my opinion. Anyone else?

Pri prebiranju ostalih komentarjev na forumu pa tudi cel kup razočaranih uporabnikov. Da večina stvari ne dela (knofi) model da je nedodelan itd...
