Dear
Pilot!
You're a
hero of the skies. You feel at home at every
airport of the world. You perfectly know how to fly your
aircraft, even under most difficult conditions. It's you that
flight-management and
cabin-crew totally trust in - as do the
passengers, needless to say.
Yet, to you there's something missing...
You want traffic!
ATC at best is absolutely mandatory for you!

You consider lots of
frequency-changes being pure fun!

If others complain about the
heat, to you it's nothin' but a
warm-up!
Well, maybe FIR Wien is having a little
offer for you:

As on
Saturday, March 17th, together with you the Austrian airspace will be
glowing! At least
fourteen FIR Wien-controllers will staff up to
nine ATC-positions for
eight hours subsequently, as there are:
LOWW_DEL - Wien Delivery
LOWW_GND - Wien Ground
LOWW_TWR - Wien Tower
LOWW_F_APP - Wien Director
LOWW_APP - Wien Radar (Lower Approach)
LOWW_N_APP - Wien Radar (Upper Approach)
LOVV_L_CTR - Wien Radar (Lower)
LOVV_CTR - Wien Radar
LOVV_U_CTR - Wien Radar (Upper)Expect event
start-up at 1400 UTC, thereafter
non-stop service until
2200 UTC is guaranteed!
This is the
challenge you've been waiting for! Start up
engines and set full thrust - have those
mechanics do something for their money after you're done with this event-flight.

Everything you need to get prepared you'll find under the following link for
LOWW-charts, infos & sceneries!
So shall we wish you a
safe trip? Okay, although we know you'll be fine without that. So let's just say...
"See you at Vienna Crowded Skies 2007 - The FIR Wien Overload!"Yours
FIR Wien-Team
